Welcome to Little Black Book!
After a long and sordid affair with such blogging sites as Diaryland.com and Livejournal.com, I’ve decided to start a new blog.
Little Black Book will be anything and everything. It will be musings on food, music, life, art, film, and my personal life. It will contain pieces of journalism – stuff from my portfolio. This will be like my own little black book, or my Moleskine. I write everything in it. Sometimes it’s a diary, sometimes a contact book, or a sketch pad. Sometimes a grocery list, or an archive of favourite quotes. This blog, I hope, will be just that. A mish-mash of things that inspire or provoke interest.
A little about me:

Me, in my crazy sombrero!
My name is Miranda. I am 5’6″, with brown hair, and blue eyes. I’m extroverted, and creative. The rest, I guess you’ll find out.
Last year, I completed my Bachelor of Journalism degree. In the future I’d like to focus on TV broadcast and print reporting. Arts and entertainment, travel, or food writing are some things I could really sink my teeth into.
I’m from Toronto, and I’m a city girl at heart. I love tall buildings, bustling streets, and an endless supply of places to go and things to do.
Some people call me a homebody, but that’s probably because I don’t like the cold. I would rather spend winter under a blanket with a good movie, a good book, or my laptop.
I speak French well, Spanish comprehensibly, and a little Italian… which I can’t speak very much of.
Music is one of my great loves. My taste is pretty eclectic, ranging from the Deftones to Benjamin Britten.
Most recently, I’ve started improv classes at a local theatre company.

My love.
Thai green curry chicken is my favourite dish. I could eat it all day, every day.
But enough about me, just read the blog!
Disclaimer: As I improve my photography skills, I have been borrowing some images from online sources. If you are the owner of any images found on this site, please contact me and I will gladly take them down.
Very cute. Good luck!
(P.S. I’ve got a blog too: http://marleedoesjournalism.wordpress.com/)
I came across your profile on Flork and drifted over here. My flork name is Tom209 but my email is tem209 with an “e”.
Have a happy blogging time! You’re bright and cheerful, and that’s really nice.
Tom
I just stumbled upon this blog while trying to find out stuff about Mongolian Hot Pot that just opened on Bank. I too am a Journalism student (at Carleton) studying Italian also and I want to go into food journalism, and I am seriously jealous of your writing skills!
